080 Barcelona Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015/16 – Opposites Attract by Lebor Gabala

16 Feb

Lebor Gabala’s new collection “Opposites Attract” was inspired by the sixties look and the hippie movement. Very short or very long skirts and dresses combined with thick knit sweaters and gauzy chiffon garments. Urban clothing with rustic finishes and silk mixed with sportswear, a collection of contrasts that moved between opposing ideas.

A collection to fall in love with!

080 Barcelona Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015/16 – Escorpion

16 Feb

Founded in 1929, Escorpion revolutionized knitwear fashion by reinventing a free, feminine and feisty woman. In its new collection “Interludes” the brand used traditional wool garments combined with treated leather. The collection consisted mainly of the colors neutral grey and warm brown to create a sense of harmony. Especially, the use of accessories like long scarfs and knitted oversized necklaces gave a special finish to the different looks.

080 Barcelona Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015/16 – Darklight by Georgina Vendrell

16 Feb

The “Darklight” collection by Georgina Vendrell for men was inspired on futurism and the conceptual, on darkness and light, on the night and the city.

She used mainly the fabrics twills, knitwear, wools and synthetic leathers and combined it with the colors black and white.

080 Barcelona Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015/16 – Passions by Menchén Tomàs

16 Feb

The designers Olga R. Menchén and Francesc Grau Tomàs presented their collection “Passions” at the 15th bi-annual 080 Barcelona Fashion Show. Based on the colors, textures and forms the viewer was magically drawn into a world of passion. Next to the classic combination of black & white, they used the energetic colors yellow, orange and red. Elegant silk dresses with theatrical volume combined with cosy woolen coats expressed pure feminity.

080 Barcelona Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015/16 – Palomo Cojo by Manuel Bolaño

15 Feb

The Spanish designer Manuel Bolaño surprised once again at the 080 Barcelona Fashion Week with his new collection “Palomo Cojo”.

In my opinion it had a slight touch of Dolce & Gabbana and the Russian Babushka style which mixed together created an amazing result. He combined different patterns with various colors and put a lot of attention to the accessories like printed scarves and black sunglasses decorated with flowers.
